If this is your first time, here's exactly what happens, from start to finish.
1. You buy a serial number and PIN
This is a pair of codes — a serial number and a PIN — that WAEC uses to let you check a result. Think of it like a scratch card, but for checking exam results instead of airtime.
2. We send it to your phone by SMS
As soon as your payment is confirmed, we send your serial number and PIN as a text message — you'll also see them on screen. Keep this SMS; you might need it again.
3. You check your result — here or on WAEC's own site
You can use our results-checking page and enter your index number along with the serial+PIN we sent you. You can also enter the same serial+PIN directly on WAEC's own official checker — both work, since it's the same code either way.
4. You get your official result
Once WAEC processes your check, you'll see your official result document — the exact same document WAEC itself produces. This is what you can save, print, or show to a school.
The one thing to remember
Each serial+PIN only works for 3 checks, total, ever — whether you check here or directly on WAEC's site. We always show you how many checks are left before and after you use one, so there are never any surprises.
